This particular cork-remover is very flimsy and made from cheap material. I bought 2 and broke both within opening a few cases of wine. The "table vice clamp" part stripped on one unit, and the mechanism to spin the corkscrew stripped on both, leaving metal shavings and an unopened bottle. In contrast, I also have an Alegacy "RAPID" Corkscrew (1144) that has been in use for at least 10 years, however it is much more expensive. You get what you pay for, if you're only opening a few bottles this will do the job, but if speed and reliability are important, keep shopping.
