This cake board is the best I have ever used. I usually put my pound cakes on the cake board when I take it out of the oven. So, I don't have deal with moving the cake after it cools. The heat never makes the board damp, it definitely holds up well.

These are the perfect cake boards for 1 or 2 layer cakes. I think the black cake board looks much more refined than the gold or silver.
