These are very cheaply made and they break easy, if they even work when you get them. I would just find something else that does the same thing.

I have been using the pen for a long time, until counterfeit money makers got smarter. This system not only has a pen on it to check the paper, but also a UV light that let you clearly identify the markers of a real bill.
This has been a helpful tool. It is great for detecting fake IDs also. The black light detecting correct colored security strips is most helpful feature for bills.
