These are problematic, because they keep loosening up and getting wobbly. We are constantly reassembling them. We had a couple break where one of the white plates just broke in half for no apparent reason. When freshly assembled they are attractive and we use them for serving afternoon & high tea, we also display cupcakes on them in the bakery and use them for catering events. So from a functional design standpoint they are effective. They just need to have a better system of keeping them together securely.
