Select reliable, high-quality ingredients for your brewing operation, like this Briess crushed caramel malt 20L. This caramel malt improves mouthfeel and foam retention while adding candy-like sweetness and a golden color to finished beers. It's made with high-quality North American 2-row malting barley that's carefully selected, germinated, kilned, and drum roasted to yield a sweet flavor with mild caramel notes and a pleasant golden hue. This roaster-produced caramel malt offers great flavor and performance when used at 3-7% in Pilsners, 5-10% in California common, Vienna, and bock lagers, or 5-15% in ales from pale ales through dark styles like porters and stouts. For your convenience, this crushed malt is pre-milled, so it's ready to use right away.
This malt has 6% moisture and a 76% yield on grind. This roasted malt yields an SRM of 20 for a golden color. It's perfect for use in commercial breweries and is available in a 50 lb. bulk bag to keep your operation well-stocked! To preserve this product's freshness and ensure the best flavor, it's recommended to store your malt in a low-humidity environment at temperatures under 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
