First off, the packaging is sturdy with no issues of holes or outside contaminants. The flavor is very good, not too salty. I was able to get 48 cups of beef base out of the 25 pounds.

We use this product to make gravy it saves a lot of money over the base it is salty so you must be careful but all in all a great product .

Beef Soup Base - 25 lb. is a convenient and flavorful ingredient for making soups, stews, and gravies. The large size is perfect for commercial kitchens and bulk cooking.

We bought this sometime ago and lost more than half of the 25 ib. due to moisture absorption. No matter how airtight, you try to keep the item, it will surely absorb moisture and eventually cake and change color. Until this item is sold in smaller quantities like maybe 1 lb., 2 lb. or 5 lb. portions., I will not recommend it.

Perfect beef soup base. It has a great flavor and is so fast and easy to use in soup. Adds a good strong beef flavor customers love.

This is a nice product it saves you from opening all the cubes. I wish it would of come with a breakdown of measurement tho..gets hard toward the end but still works.will by again

I bought 3 25lb boxes of the Beef Soup Base. All 3 were hard as a rock! I could not use it until I took a mallet to break it up enough to put in a food processor. Will never buy the beef base again. The chicken base was not like that I might add.

Best beef base. We use this product in our soups that need a beef base, as well as a base for our beef gravy. It isn't too salty which others can be. It also has the perfect flavour in the end! Would highly recommend.

Only four stars because the PDF with ingredients is dated 2011. This appears to be well before the Gel Spice Company has taking a pretty aggressive approach to being gluten free. So the big question - Am I buying 25 lb of gluten-free product or not?

Good product and good price

We just received this "beef base". Jokes on you, it contains no animals or animal products!! It tastes like a fancy ramen noodle packet and makes stocks a breeze (and vegetarian because no real cow). A tiny bit goes a long way, this box would likely be overkill if trying to turn an Olympic sized pool into soup

This is a quality soup base for the cost. Bought to try as a replacement for one we have used for years that is no longer in production. This comes close to replicating it!
