Lever Handle Waste Valve 3 1/2" Sink Opening

We installed 3 of these drains in a 3-basin sink in late November 2022. Our sinks receive light use, only filled twice per day. By March 2023, the metal drain plug had broken off of all 3 so that they are useless. The drains cannot be closed so the sinks can be filled with water. Incredible poor quality. I have never seen the metal plugs come off drain mechanisms like this even after years of use, and this was only from using the handle to close the drains twice per day for 4 months.

I installed these the other day and it was not a fun process. There is no part on the inside or outside bit to hold with a wrench. I ended up screwing then in by hand. It has been a week and the cuts on my fingertips are almost healed. Careful, parts are sharp apparently. That aside, once installed they are a great deal for your buck!!

These are great drains when you have a sink full of dishes. Additionally there is no stopper to store or lose. The rubber gaskets can eventually wear out but they can be rebuilt in just a few minutes and typically go 6-8 years for us before they start getting loose. You really need the special tool to get these properly tightened otherwise you will be chasing leaks. Never had a leak after purchasing the tool.

I installed this less than a year ago for my 3 compartment sink and one handle can no longer close the the drain. The threads on the handle just goes round and round.

Could be a little more air tight when handle twisted. It seems as if the drain doesn't close all the way. The handle is all too long as it sticks out. But I believe that's my opinion, the product may have been designed to be that way. It's a very convenient alternate way to close drains.

At the end of the night it comes in very handy when it comes to cleaning the sinks.
