Not good-- you initially use the lever at the back to seal the server. To undo it is very clunky and you have to manually force the lid down, then force the thumb switch just right to get it to lock in. Wouldn't recommend.

I wanted to love these. The problem is, the little rubber seal that sits on top of the carafe's rim before you cover the carafe with the top gets loose and falls out when washing. It also wears out quickly, I assume because of the heat of the coffee. When that seal does not sit properly or is worn out, the coffee leaks out of the edges when pouring. Other than that, it's great.
