Aaxa Technologies AAXKP60201 Details

The Aaxa Technologies KP60201 P300 NEO LED pico projector packs big presentations into a small package, making it perfect for business meetings and classrooms! Using DLP technology, this compact unit delivers a 1000:1 contrast ratio with a 1280 x 720 (WXGA) native HD resolution and a 1920 x 1080 (1080P) maximum resolution. With ports for HDMI, micro TF card, USB, and composite and digital AV, this projector is also extremely versatile. Simply connect it to your smart phone and you'll be able to deliver HD-quality images and video without a television. Customer questions about this product

What is the difference between native and maximum resolution?

Native resolution represents the pixel output that you see on screen, meaning the resolution can never exceed this number. Maximum resolution refers to the highest incoming resolution your unit can compress to display at its native resolution.

Will this projector produce a quality image sufficient for the size of my room?

To determine if a projector will produce a bright, clear, and large enough image in your space, identify its throw ratio. This ratio compares the size of your screen to the distance between the screen and the projector’s lens. This determines the required placement of the projector in relation to the screen to ensure sufficient image quality.

1.5:1 is a common throw ratio for regular projectors. This means that for every inch of screen size, the projector must be placed 1.5 in. back from the screen. To produce a typical 5 ft. or 60 in. image (measured diagonally), the projector must be placed at a distance of 7.5 ft. (90 in.) away.

If you have less space to work with, consider a different type of projector. A throw ratio between 0.38:1 and 1.4:1 is common for short throw projectors. Ultra short throw projectors have a common throw ratio of 0.37:1 or less. Let’s break it down using throw ratios in the common range for each type:

Regular Projector
60 in. [screen size] x 1.5 in. [the key number in the throw ratio] = 90 inches (7.5 ft.) [distance from screen]

Short Throw Projector
60 in. x 1.04 in. = 62.4 in (5.2 ft.)

Ultra Short Throw Projector
60 in. x 0.37 in. = 22.2 in. (1.85 ft.)
