I purchased these decanters to replace my glass decanters. We tried plastic but they stained so badly we were continually cleaning them. These work great, with only one caveat: the lids are not attached very well. Seeing this in advance, I simply removed the lids from the beginning. We brew our coffee and then place it directly into airpots so a lack of a lid is no issue for use. We have had these for around 4-5 months and they are holding up great. I am confident they will last a long time.

I don't know if we were doing something wrong, but the decanter would flavor the coffee with an unbearable metallic taste. We tried washing and rewashing to no avail.
