Shurtape is the best brand of tape for food service. It won't hold boxes together for shipping, but for labeling items and general usage: it sticks over water, it doesn't stick to itself, it's easy to remove, it stands up to heat and water and cold, so, it's the only tape I like to use.

Just like all tape, you have to take it off before it hits the dish sink or you will get the gummy residue. But i've never had issues with it leaving the residue as long as I take the label off before exposing it to the hot water. I will keep using this for my labels.

The tape is strong but not as tacky as duct tape and has a clean release when needed. The pale color is easy to write on with any marker and I would recommend.

This 2" x 60 yd masking tape is perfect for masking off molding or areas you don't want to paint. Also great for making labels as markers write nicely on this tape.
