Can I get a spray valve with a higher flow rate (GPM)?

A: The maximum flow rate for all commercial pre-rinse spray valves produced after January 28, 2019 is 1.28 GPM – more specific regulations may apply based on the valve’s spray force in ounce-force (ozf).

Product Class 1 (5 ozf or less) – Max Flow Rate: 1 GPM
Product Class 2 (5.01 - 8 ozf) – Max Flow Rate: 1.2 GPM
Product Class 3 (over 8 ozf) – Max Flow Rate: 1.28 GPM

These regulations do not impact spray valves made before January 28, 2019, and are implemented by the US Department of Energy in an effort to improve energy conservation.

This 0.65 GPM pre-rinse spray valve from Assure Parts is a great replacement or upgrade option if your current pre-rinse valve is broken or leaking. This valve is ideal for pre-rinse faucets where you will be cleaning food and dirt off of glass and dinnerware before they go into a dishwasher or compartment sink. Its ultra-low 0.65 GPM flow rate delivers the power needed to blast away even heavy debris, while offering additional savings on your water bill compared to higher-GPM spray valves. This spray valve is designed for use in janitorial and dishwashing applications only, and is not intended for applications where the fixture will be used to supply drinking water, or water for cooking. The easy-to-use squeeze handle design provides a firm grip, while a convenient hold-down ring provides a way to keep the water flowing without having to constantly hold the handle in. This reduces hand fatigue and improves comfort over the course of a busy shift. A 3/4-14 UNS connection allows easy connection to the hose handle. It can be used on faucets from many popular brands.
