Early settlers created cornbread recipes from Native American ground corn dishes, and cornbread has been enjoyed ever since! This classic cornbread mix is made with cornmeal and baking powder and features a slightly sweet taste. Popularly served with soul food, chili, or barbequed dishes, cornbread can also be served as a tasty start to any meal with biscuits or other bread.
This mix rises nicely for soft and moist servings of cornbread. In some areas of the United States, cornbread is traditionally skillet fried with bacon grease for a more savory taste. Whichever way this versatile cornbread mix is prepared and served, your customers are sure to be satisfied! Due to the density of this dry mix, it should be measured by weight, not measured out.

This was great both as a cornbread and as a base for jalapeno cheddar corn muffins and cornmeal pancakes. Good flavor and texture once baked.

Let's talk cornbread. I love cornbread ever since I lived down south for college. When I seen WEB.COM had cornbread I made it the way it is made down in New Orleans. I added by weight 60 ounces of the mix in a bow.I then added 1/2 cup of sugar and 1 tbsp of real vanilla extract and then added half a can of white or yellow corn in a can drained. And added water a little at a time till the batter is like a cake mix would look like .Mix thoroughly . I put mine in a greased cast iron skillet, but you can use a square or round baking pan, greased all sides. Bake at 350* for 35-40 minutes until a toothpick put in middle comes out clean. I keep this around my home as cornbread just about goes with any meal. And the price you cannot beat it.Very tasty indeed.

A southern staple in my house. I go through one of these at home every few weeks, and it has become the go to item for bread with dinner. Great tasting and easy to prepare.

Makes a nice moist cornbread. We like to add chunky applesauce to it in place of the liquid and serve it with bean soup. It's wonderful.

It was ok but came out white looking and really didn't have any flavor. Thanks God I was making corn stuffing. Not good for just making cornbread or muffins. You would have add some flavor

This Yellow Cornbread mix makes really good cornbread. We usually serve it with our catfish and top it with whipped cream. Our customers love it.
