What's better than a warm, house-made biscuit fresh out of the oven? Take the guesswork out of offering delicious baked goods with made-from-scratch flavor when you use this Gold Medal buttermilk biscuit mix! Featuring a made-from-scratch flavor, this mix is a convenient and foolproof way to consistently make delicious buttermilk biscuits with a moist, fluffy texture every time. Its formula delivers a consistent end product that will keep your customers coming back for delicious biscuits time and time again. Best of all, this mix produces biscuits that can be used to create a wide variety of menu items, from biscuits and gravy to biscuit sliders to simple buttered biscuits! This economical bulk 5 lb. supply will keep your establishment well stocked with biscuit mix.

Thanks to its "just add water" format, this biscuit mix requires minimal skill labor to prepare. Its formulation delivers exceptional hold time and fresh flavor for less waste in your kitchen. Plus, this ready-to-use mix saves time over baking from scratch, helping you get delicious biscuits to your hungry customers faster! To prepare a full box of mix, begin by measuring out 5 cups of cool water (approximately 50 degrees Fahrenheit) or 5 1/4 cups of milk / buttermilk. Combine the liquid and package of mix in the bowl of your stand mixer. Mix using a paddle attachment on low speed until the liquid is incorporated, approximately 15 seconds. Stop the mixer, scrape down the bowl and paddle, and mix on low speed for an additional 15 seconds. Turn your dough out onto a floured work surface. Dust the dough with flour and fold in half, but do not knead. Divide the dough in half and roll out each sheet to 1/2" thick. Use a biscuit cutter to portion out the dough, then bake in a convection oven heated to 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 7-9 minutes or in a conventional oven heated to 450 degrees Fahrenheit for 11-13 minutes. The biscuits are fully baked when their tops appear golden brown and the breaks along the side of the biscuits look dry.

For over a century, Gold Medal has made baking ingredients that Americans depend on year after year.
