I have been searching around for a good bulk cake mix. This devil's food chocolate mix was very moist, tender, and the perfect amount of density without any doctoring. I experimented with it making chocolate cupcakes. They were delicious. I have even added chocolate chips to the batter for extra chocolateyness.

The cake is extremely rich and chocolaty! Though it still is not as great as a from scratch devil's food, it is perfect for using when the cake is augmented with a lot of different fillings, frostings, and toppings.

the cake flavor is delicious, however the getting the mix/water ratio is the tough part. i've tried this and the white cake mix several times. each time the batter is too runny and makes a 'pancake' looking cake, or the texture is that of a biscuit. will not use again
