Shun DM0790 Details

Your knives will be making clean, precise cuts time and time again after being honed by the Shun DM0790 Classic 9" honing steel. This tool is perfect for sharpening and prolonging the life of your blade. Every time your knife is used, the edge bends ever so slightly. In order to counteract this, realign the blade with this honing steel.

One side of the tool is smooth, which is best used for daily honing. The other is micro-ribbed, and is best used in weekly intervals. The Pakkawood handle provides a comfortable, secure grip for both left- and right-handed use, and has a built in 16 degrees angle in order to guide your honing. It is also extremely durable, and it won't crack or separate from the blade, thus extending the life of your knife.
