Slice your meat with precision thanks to this Shun DM0720 Classic 9" hollow ground slicing knife. A great addition to your arsenal of cutlery, this slicing knife is ideal for creating perfectly portioned cuts of brisket, turkey, and roasts. Hollow ground indentations on the blade are a unique and functional addition, as they work to create small air pockets through the use of divots, and in turn reduce friction during cuts, making cutting easier than ever. The blade is also conveniently double-beveled and flat ground to a 16 degree angle on each side to provide the best performance possible from every blade.
Crafted from proprietary VG-MAX 68-layer Damascus steel, this knife's blade is built to provide you with the ability to create smooth, accurate cuts. This proprietary material, only available from Shun, is extremely fine-grained to get the most out of the steel, and its excellent construction also ensures a sharp, long-lasting blade in any kitchen environment. Resistant to corrosion and wear, this knife is also constructed with a full composite tang for superior balance. Plus, the Pakkawood handle provides a comfortable, secure grip for both left- and right-handed use. It is also extremely durable, and it won't crack or separate from the blade, thus extending the life of your knife.
