Food safety is the name of the game in the foodservice industry and whether you are checking a delivery of frozen sirloin steaks, or cooking and holding a pork roast, food-safe temperatures must be maintained. Cooper-Atkins has developed the EconoTemp line of thermocouples and kits to assist you with your food safety program. The 93233-K EconoTemp combo pack includes a 32311-K thermocouple, featuring a protective rubber boot which makes the instrument easy to grip, as well as water- and shock- resistant. The molded tabs on the side of the boot will hold one of the three included Type-K probes when not in use.

With a measuring range of -40 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit and accuracy within + / - 2 degrees of the temperature reading, the thermocouple will give you a precise reading on everything from frozen fish filets, to raw hamburger meat, to a pot of chicken noodle soup. You can easily toggle back and forth between Fahrenheit and Celsius using the F/C button and the included AAA batteries provide 4500 hours of use. After 10 minutes of non-use, the automatic shut-off feature is enabled to conserve battery power.

This kit includes three popular Type-K probes: the DuraNeedle probe, bell surface probe, and oven / freezer probe. The DuraNeedle probe can be used to measure most food products and has a maximum tip temperature of 500 degrees Fahrenheit. It includes a 12" polyurethane covered cable which can extend to a length of 48". Perfect for measuring air temperature, the oven / freezer probe has a shield to protect the sensor against coming into contact with a hot oven wall, or any surface that could provide a false reading. The bell surface probe is made for use on flat surfaces, like your griddle top. Along with these useful probes, the kit also includes a bracket to secure your thermocouple to the wall for easy access, and a carrying case to hold all your probes.
