Designed to measure the temperature of flat surfaces, it's angled to provide optimal surface contact in hard-to-reach places. This allows you to also monitor equipment surfaces, not just cooking supplies, to guarantee your kitchen or facility is safely operating at all times. For versatility and convenience, this thermocouple probe includes a 12" cable. The cable is protected by an FEP outer jacket.

The probe features an impressive temperature range, measuring temperatures between -40 and 300 degrees Fahrenheit with a response time of 4 seconds on a flat, oiled surface. To ensure accuracy and a quick response time, the manufacturer recommends using a drop of oil on the surface being tested, which helps to conduct the temperature to the sensor more efficiently. For easy, comfortable use, the instrument includes a phenolic handle. Because of its material, it's both lightweight and heat resistant, making it excellent for high-heat applications.
