Customer questions about this product

What's the difference between a riveted and a welded handle?
A riveted handle is connected by small metal pieces (called rivets) that are crushed between the handle and the pan body to attach them together. This type of handle is more common on copper and aluminum cookware.

For a handle to be welded, the metal must first be melted and then adhered to the pan body. This creates a strong bond that leaves little to no space in between, so bacteria and other food crumbs can’t collect and cause sanitation issues. Both are long lasting solutions for fry and sauce pan handles because they are durable and can withstand heat.
Are the capacities given in the description exact?

The Vollrath Lincoln Optio 6 3/4 sauce pot with cover works well. The heavy bottom evenly distributes the heat so we no longer burn our soups.

We purchased this pot to replace a worn-out enameled cast-iron pot that we had used for years to make tomato sauce, soups, rice dishes, and pastas. It is the perfect replacement and we wish we had bought it sooner. The pot is heavy, heats quickly and evenly, and is very easy to clean. An excellent value.

I've had this pot for a while now. The heavy bottom disperses the heat well. I use it to make Haystack Sauce, a family recipe, that requires hours of simmering to reduce the sauce to a near paste consistency. This pot makes it easy to accomplish this without sticking and scorching the sauce to the bottom of the pot. Being stainless steel makes it easy to clean. The cover fits well making a nice steam seal. Cleanup is easy. I haven't bought a second one yet but it's on my wish list.

If you need a large sauce pot for them Sunday dinners, you've found it. It's great for sauteing pot before throwing in your tomato sauce.

When we ordered this we didn't expect a great quality item since the price was low - but we were really surprised at how great it really is. Its a great weight, and the heat is evenly distributed fast. And the handles don't really get hot either, which means you can handle it without putting on mitts, or grabbing for towels etc. This size is great for small batches of things. We're using it daily in our kitchen. We're also now buying the next size up too.

Even though my wife uses this Sauce Pot at home she likes high quality cooking equipment. This is one of the best Pots she has ever purchased. She uses it on her induction cook top. Very good product

This is a high-quality, sturdy piece at a great price. The aluminum-disc bottom heats evenly, and the lid fits tightly. This size is perfect for the average family cook--big enough for simmering stock, boiling pasta, steaming, or making soup, stew, and chili, yet easy to lift.

This was a replacement pot for my friend and she is quite happy with the pot, I will be purchasing this pot along with another smaller pot because I love this company, they have good products and will always help you if needed. I am sorry I didn't order from them sooner, but better late than never, this will always be my store for cookware and whatever else I might need, I will be moving soon and soon as I get my place in order, I will give this supply store more business because they are terrific
