CeramiGuard II

Even in high-heat applications, the CeramiGuard II coating system will withstand the abuse of metal cooking utensils and is the most abrasion-resistant fry pan Vollrath offers. This environmentally-friendly coating lacks PFOAs, which prolongs the pan's wear-resistance by 25% by using smaller reinforcing agents along its surface for a smooth finish.

Heavy-Duty Aluminum

Made of durable 8-gauge, impact-resistant 3004 aluminum, this fry pan is great for chefs looking for heavy-duty cookware that is comfortable to use!

EverTite Rivets

The EverTite riveted handle is also permanently attached to ensure a very rigid connection between handle and vessel and even has a lifetime warranty, guaranteeing longevity.

TriVent Silicone Handle

The TriVent handle boasts an ergonomic design to reduce stress and fatigue on the user while the vented construction reduces heat transfer from the pan by more than 20 degrees Fahrenheit when compared to traditional fry pan handles. In addition, the silicone handle is capable of oven and stovetop use up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

Customer Q&A Ask a Question

How can I properly care for this aluminum item?
Hand washing is always the best option to ensure that your aluminum stays in best working order. However, if you decide to clean these in a dishwasher, we strongly recommend using metal-safe detergents and sanitizers to eliminate any flaking or tarnishing that could occur from some harsher cleaners.
How can I best maintain the non-stick qualities of this item?
To prevent food from sticking to your non-stick surface, we recommend lightly coating it with oil, wiping off any excess with a soft cloth or napkin. Using sprays on non-stick coatings can actually cause food to stick more readily than using a fat or oil. Sprays can leave a glue-like coating, often missed during the cleaning process, which will begin to build up and cause foods to stick. Additionally, metal utensils should not be used with non-stick surfaces to prevent scratching and damaging the coated surface.
What's the difference between a riveted and a welded handle?
A riveted handle is connected by small metal pieces (called rivets) that are crushed between the handle and the pan body to attach them together. This type of handle is more common on copper and aluminum cookware.

For a handle to be welded, the metal must first be melted and then adhered to the pan body. This creates a strong bond that leaves little to no space in between, so bacteria and other food crumbs can’t collect and cause sanitation issues. Both are long lasting solutions for fry and sauce pan handles because they are durable and can withstand heat.

Vollrath PFOA Free Wear-Ever Fry Pans

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has called for the total elimination of PFOA by the year 2015. Check out this video to see how Vollrath has responded by creating three new environmentally friendly coatings for their fry pans!

In support of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s call for total elimination of PFOA by the year 2015, Vollrath is proud to announce new, nonstick coatings made without the use PFOAs. These coatings continue to have the excellent release you have come to count on. But now, through the development of new formulations and state-of-the-art application and curing equipment, Vollrath’s coatings have a 30% longer life. With this broad coating offering, Vollrath can provide environmentally coatings meeting the budgetary needs of all of our customers. So how do these coatings differ? CeramiGuard II, the best coating in the food service industry, uses the largest, hardest, and greatest number of reinforcements along with the strongest top layer. SteelCoat x3 uses hard, enlarged reinforcements and a strong top layer. PowerCoat2 uses smaller reinforcing agents. The top layer is smooth and is sometimes preferred for egg preparation. Each of these lines has a different level of performance, and the best pan for you will depend on your particular needs. Watch for the new coatings in our new color-coded packaging in a showroom near you. So when you are considering your fry pan purchase, you can count on excellent release, excellent wear performance, and all with a clear conscience of using a coating that will provide a world that is safe for our children for many years and decades to come.

Vollrath Cookware Rivets: Extreme Heat Test

Check out this video to watch Vollrath's EverTite rivets be put to work in an extreme heat test against two other competitors!

Vollrath EverTite Rivets: The EXTREME HEAT Test

The following is a lab test of EverTite Rivets. To test the longevity of the rivets, a dry fry pan was placed on a full burner for 15 minutes, with 22 lb. of weight attached to the handle.

Results: after 15 minutes on a full burner and reaching 850 degrees Fahrenheit, Vollrath's EverTite Rivets showed no signs of stretching or distress. The handle was as tight after the test as before.

Competitor Pan A results: rivets elongated, floppy handle.

Competitor Pan B results: rivets melted, handle broke off.

EverTite handle reached a maximum of 850 degrees Fahrenheit while Competitor A reached 723 degrees Fahrenheit and Competitor B reached 764 degrees Fahrenheit.
