A staple in popular Indian and Middle Eastern cuisines, Regal Ground Turmeric is adds intense, spicy flavor to curries, sauces, mustard, pickles, and rice. Bright yellow in color, this powdered spice has a distinct, spicy flavor. Related to ginger, turmeric is derived from the dried root of the Curcuma longa plant. Its earthy aroma and pungent, slightly bitter flavor can be described as a combination of ginger and pepper.

    Excellent spice from Regal Spices!!! This under utilized spice is great for marinades for chicken or even beef! Great addition to your favorite sausage blend!!! Good for making sauces too!!

    I use it for frozen veggies, and it gives them a good taste, 1 half of teaspoon added to dried beans or soups give them a good taste.
