It allows you to secure your unit to a smooth, flat work surface for maximum stability while in use. If the original mounting base that came with your rotary fruit / vegetable slicer is broken, malfunctioning, or missing, be sure to swap it out with this direct replacement to resume safe and proper function. This base is compatible with Garde XL XLROTOSLICE rotary slicers and ROTOKITXL rotary slicer kits.
