The 5 qt. capacity bakes bread dough recipes with up to 3 1/2 cups of flour for a 1 to 1 1/2 lb. loaf that is perfectly sized for slicing.

When creating delicious brioche, sourdough, or chocolate rye bread, start by mixing the bread with the dough hook on your mixer (sold separately). Then, when your dough is done mixing, the included lid is great for proofing since it will trap heat and help your dough rise. Once proofed, shape your dough into a round loaf, then flip the bowl and lid upside down and place it on the underside of the lid with the bowl covering the top of the loaf. The lid traps steam during baking to simulate a traditional steam oven and creates a crunchy artisan bread loaf. Plus, the ceramic bowl retains and delivers consistent heat throughout the baking process. This dishwasher safe bread bowl is compatible with 4.5 qt. and 5 qt. tilt head stand mixers.
