This CaterGator Dash pan carrier with companion hot board offers optimal versatility and features a professional grade construction made from expanded polypropylene (EPP). Extended Heat Holding

The insulation quality of this carrier is also ideal for transporting your food for extended periods of time. It will hold cold food below 41 degrees Fahrenheit or hot food above 145 degrees Fahrenheit for up to 4 hours at a time! Plus, if you need a longer hold time, you can use the included red full size hot board to extend the hold time for hot foods. Simply place the board in water no hotter than 200 degrees Fahrenheit for 35-60 minutes, and slide or place into your carrier. This board lays flat in carriers and comes equipped with distance knobs that prevent the board from sticking to a food pan.

How do I safely heat up the hot board?

1. Check the surface of the hot pack for manipulations and deformities before each use which can compromise the product and make it unsafe for use. IF YOU FIND ANY MANIPULATIONS OR DEFORMITIES, DO NOT USE THE HOT PACK.

2. Preheat water in vessel that can withstand heating and is large enough to cover entire hot pack, vertically, to a maximum water temperature of 200°F.

3. DO NOT directly heat the hot pack with open flame or any other heat transfer method.

4. Put hot pack vertically into preheated hot water, cork facing upward and submerge completely under water for even heating.

5. Heat hot pack in water no hotter than 200°F for 35-60 minutes, and do not heat longer than 60 minutes total heat time.

6. Remove hot pack carefully utilizing proper PPE (water and heat resistant gloves, face shield, and apron).

7. Check the surface of the hot pack again for manipulations and deformities which can compromise the product and make it unsafe for use prior to utilizing in transport. IF YOU FIND ANY MANIPULATIONS OR DEFORMITIES, DO NOT USE THE HOT PACK.

8. Carefully place the hot pack in the bottom tracks of a frontloading carrier or the bottom of a top-loading carrier.
