    This is the best butter warmer I have used. It is a thick and heavy ceramic piece, so it is stable on the table during use. It's tall and has a big opening for the tealight candle, which keeps the warmer from getting the butter too hot, which can alter the flavor. The butter basin is not shallow. Works for other dips besides butter.
