11 1/2" x 14", Gallon Size

These 11 1/2" x 14" bags are an excellent choice for kitchens that do a lot of vacuum packaging, and that package consistent portions. Unlike rolls of bag material, which must be cut and sealed on both ends, these bags have a uniform 1 gallon size and only require sealing on 1 end. This is great for portion control, and it saves you time too. The open end (for sealing) is 11 1/2" wide, so the seal bar on your machine must be longer than this for it to work properly.

For External Strip Machines

These bags are designed to be used with external strip-style vacuum packaging machines, where the bag is placed outside the machine during use. They will not work with chamber machines.

3 Mil Thickness

Each bag is made of 80% polyethylene and 20% nylon, with a third layer of textured mesh material and a 3 mil thickness for superior strength and complete air removal with low stress on the machine.

Freezer, Microwave, and Boil-Safe

These bags can be frozen, refrigerated, and microwaved for convenience. They can also be boiled, which makes them great for applications that use sous vide cooking.

How do I determine if a vacuum machine bag will work on my machine?

If you have a chamber-type machine: Buy a chamber-type bag (mesh-less design). The open end of the vacuum bag must be the same size or shorter than the seal bar on your machine, and the bag must also fit inside your machine’s chamber.

If you have an external-type machine: You must buy an external-type, or "out of chamber" bag (mesh design). The open end of the vacuum bag must be the same size or shorter than the seal bar on your machine.

What foods cannot be vacuum sealed?

Foods containing anaerobic bacteria cannot be vacuum sealed: mushrooms, garlic, seafood, and soft cheeses, such as brie, camembert, ricotta, and other soft and unpasteurized cheeses.
