The 10-gauge construction of the Victorinox 86004 UltimateSHIELD 2 cut resistant glove offers the maximum level of protection (Level 5, according to the American Society for Testing and Materials / International Safety Equipment Association) for your hands!

This UltimateSHIELD 2 cut resistant glove features spiral wrapped steel that's durable and resistant to breakage, yet comfortable and flexible. Each spiral of steel is made up of stainless steel monofilaments that are woven with Dyneema high performance polyethylene fibers, plus two covers of industrial-strength polyester for superior grip and abrasion resistance.

The Victorinox 86004 UltimateSHIELD 2 cut resistant glove also features anti-microbial yarns and is fully washable and bleachable for easy care.

These gloves work well if you are using a mandolin or grater. However, I would not recommend them for appendage protection when using a deli slicer. They will certainly reduce the severity of a cut, but will not prevent one.

This is one of my favorite tools in the kitchen. It gives me peace of mind wearing this when using the mandoline, cleaning the slicer or even using hand knives for chopping. Small price to pay - thank you!

The hand shield cut resistant glove is made of great quality and will protect your fingers and hand against the slip of knife while preparing food.

This offered really good cut resistnace. It did however run large. I'm 6'2" and the large was way to big for my hand, will be trying the medium.
