Conveniently store your refrigerated ingredients and speed up food preparation time with this Turbo Air TCBE-48SDR-N 48" Super Deluxe two drawer refrigerated chef base! Chef bases maximize the space in your kitchen and increase efficiency by allowing you to place countertop equipment directly on the base. And by storing cold ingredients in the base while using its countertop for cooking equipment, you create a convenient, streamlined work station.

This particular base features a heavy-duty work top with a 788 lb. weight capacity. The work top is made of insulated, 16-gauge, type 304 stainless steel, which helps minimize heat transfer to the inside of the cabinet and provides ample space for countertop griddles, charbroilers, and other equipment. Beneath the work top, the unit features 2 drawers that each hold up to (15) 1/6 size, 4" deep food pans (sold separately). In total, the chef base provides 6.1 cu. ft. of refrigerated storage space for ingredients and condiments.

For easy maintenance, the unit features Turbo Air's revolutionary self-cleaning condenser system, which automatically cleans the condenser by moving a rotating brush up and down across its surface 2 to 3 times per day. Not only does this process eliminate the need for your employees to manually clean the condenser every few weeks, but it prevents dust from building up on the coils. In turn, this reduces the stress on the compressor and the risk of it breaking down, resulting in fewer maintenance calls and higher overall energy efficiency. Foamed-in-place, CFC-free polyurethane insulation likewise helps improve efficiency and even strengthens the cabinet.

Built with a powerful, side-mount 1/3 hp compressor, the unit maintains a temperature range of 33 to 38 degrees Fahrenheit. It does this by circulating R290 refrigerant, which is an eco-friendly option that boasts an ozone depletion potential (ODP) of 0 and a global warming potential (GWP) of 3. Because it's mounted to the side of the unit, the compressor is easy to access for service and maintenance; plus, the overall front-breathing design allows the base to be installed in narrow spaces and to maximize the footprint of your kitchen. To ensure that you can easily monitor the refrigeration system throughout the day, the unit includes a digital temperature display right on the front panel.

Unlike most refrigeration manufacturers, Turbo Air ships this unit with a package of 5" swivel casters. This gives you the option to make the unit mobile or to keep it stationary. It requires a 115V electrical connection.
