I purchased the Town 6" extra fine round skimmer. The fine mesh works great when you want to scoop up small pieces from your cooking pot.

Surprisingly hard to find an extra fine skimmer, but webstaurant has everything. It's Very light but wouldn't say that it's a very long lasting product, but considering the price, wouldn't mind buying a new one when needed.

I purchased to replace one that had broken that we use for the fryers. If the mesh screen is extra fine then the one I had is super fine. The handle is not shaped well for cleaning (I know I can bend it), the face does not have enough surface area for larger two basket fryer at least not if you are using the fryer for hand breaded foods. I will however be using this for my cold brewed coffee.

I bought 2 of these and I do not recommend them. First it rust. Second the support metal rod under the mesh broke. The welding was poorly done. Buy something else.

The Town 6" extra fine round skimmer is a good tool. The ribbed metal pieces supporting the mesh are sturdy, and the price was excellent.

Nice fine mesh, nice sturdy handle, does what it should. However, the mesh is a little flimsy as is the whole bowl in general, and though after 2-3 uses it has yet to show much damage it feels like it would break quickly under the demands of a professional kitchen.

This is a nice strainer with a very fine mesh. It is great for skimming small items. I use it for blanching peas. It is much gentler than other skimmers or slotted spoons.

Excellent product for straining and skimming small batches of items. I have used it for pulling tortellini out of the pot and for draining quinoa that has been rinsed.

Excellent skimmer! Works great for blanching small batches of vegetables or cooking gnocchi. Very durable. Great for skimming deep fat fryers too! Cant be the price!
