Does this printer use an ink cartridge?
No, thermal printers do not use ink cartridges. They heat thermal printer paper as it passes through the printer head, turning the paper black in the areas where it is heated to create the print.
When using my printer for the first time, do I need to adjust any settings to get it to work with my scale?
The DT-2 printer comes pre-programmed to work with the scale in this kit. Please do not change any settings, as this may cause connectivity issues. If you are having trouble getting the printer to work with the scale, and have confirmed they are properly connected with the correct cable, please contact the manufacturer's tech support for further assistance.

Crafted from stainless steel for outstanding durability and easy cleaning, the scale features a large 8 3/4" x 11 13/16" platform and tare function designed to offset the weight of containers and independently measure portions. The backlit, alphanumeric LCD screen clearly shows the weight of portioned items, even in dark areas. The keyboard is coated in a sleek membrane, and the on-board memory can store prices of up to 100 products. This legal for trade scale also has eight direct access memory keys so you can quickly measure and sell your most popular foods. Additionally, it measures in increments of 0.01 lb. to deliver pinpoint accuracy.
The DT-2 thermal printer easily attaches to the scale to help label products with correct prices and weights in a retail setting. It boasts up to 2MB of user storage for easy operation. Thanks to a compact design, this printer can even work in areas where space is at a premium.
