Mercer Culinary Genesis® 7" Forged Nakiri Knife with Granton Edge and Full Tang Blade M21067

We read a lot of reviews before purchasing this from WebstaurantStore.com. We were so excited. My husband has cut himself twice since purchasing, it is REALLY sharp as they say. Small price to pay for the great quality of this knife! Where else on earth would someone cut himself and say "Man, that's a good knife!" The blade is strong and sturdy. The handle is good quality. I was worried that the "Genesis" handles would be cheesy and cheap based on the colored ones and how they looked in the photos, but this handle is really nice. We are being converted to Mercer. Used to have all Cutco and Dexter but Mercer is a dang fine quality knife! This is one of 3 products we now have from Mercer.

This knife comes sharp. It is well balanced and the handle keeps it from slipping in the hand during use. Overall, a great knife for everyday use.

After going through a number of different brands of knives over the past few years I finally decided to give the Mercer brand a shot. I can say that after only a few uses I can say that I should have been using Mercer all along. This knife comes out of the packaging razor sharp. Not only does it come razor sharp, it stays that way. The German steel proves to be of superior quality as you won’t have to deal with dullness, staines or a lack of edge over time.

Bought this knife as a gift for a former co-worker and myself. We absolutely love it. It has stayed sharp since the day we received it.

This is an excellent vegetable knife. It has very little belly, which means most of the blade comes into contact with the board while tap-chopping. It has plenty of knuckle clearance, and the 7" length is very practical. It's long enough to be useful for moderate prep, but it's also short enough to use on a crowded line. The Mercer forged line in general is an excellent overall value. This veg knife is no exception.

No complaints whatsoever. Easy to keep sharp, very comfortable to grip and use, and outstandingly sharp right out of the package. After using it every day for over a year, I'm wondering if they left off a digit from the price, as this knife easily outdoes knives many time the cost. It's truly a great deal, and would be a great deal at twice the price!

The handle is nice and confortable to hold. Very sharp with smooth cutting. The 7" blade is a good size for long even strokes for every day cutting. Worth every penny.

LOVE this knife. I have used it for several different applications and it preformed beyond my expectations. Feels good, very sharp and works well. Well worth the money.

This is my multi purpose everyday knife. The handle is comfortable, the weight is well balanced to prevent fatigue and he blade holds an edge incredibly well. Love it!!!

This Usuba knife is a great bargain. It is perfect for precise cuts and super thin slices of tomatoes. Everyone needs an Usuba in their kitchen!!
