This Lavex bottom plate assembly is a direct replacement for the one that came with your 12" upright vacuum. This part supports the bottom of the vacuum and is designed to direct dirt and debris up into the unit. If this plate is cracked or damaged it can affect your vacuum's ability to clean and retain dirt and debris, so be sure to replace it promptly.
