Crepe Batter Spreading Techniques From Krampouz

Crepe Batter Spreading Techniques From Krampouz

Learn how to spread crepe batter with this step-by-step guide! For flat spreading, begin by placing one portion of batter to the left of the griddle. As you're spreading, remember to keep the spreader within the griddle limits and spread it smoothly. Use a comma shape finish movement and then flip the crepe with a stainless steel or wooden spatula. Insert the spatula under the crepe and turn the spatula counter clockwise. Raise the spatula when you're finished. For round spreading, place a portion of the batter at the center of the griddle and apply the batter clockwise, making sure to swivel the spreader. To use the patented stainless steel spreader, place the spreader on the griddle with your right hand. Keeping your hand on the handle, fill the spreader with a portion of batter and turn the spreader clockwise until all of the batter is discharged. The first round has to be completed within two or three seconds to ensure optimal results. To finish, spread the remaining batter with the spreader!

How to Maintain Your Crepe Maker

Season your crepe maker with this step-by-step guide! First, connect your crepe maker and select 270 degrees Celsius or 500 degrees Fahrenheit. Then, pour a tablespoon of oil on the grill and spread it evenly with a cleaning pad. Burn the oil for five to ten minutes until the griddle turns dark brown. After, spread the oil eight more times, reducing the amount of oil each time. To maintain your crepe maker, switch off the crepe maker and let it cool down. You can then scrape the griddle surface using an abrasive stone. Make sure to follow the groove stone patterns when scraping the surface. Once you are finished, wipe off any dirt a towel or rag. Customer questions about this product

How can I properly care for cast iron surfaces?
In order to prevent unwanted build-up of oils, grease, and food, surfaces should be cleaned after use while still slightly warm. Harsh chemicals or scouring pads should not be used—only hot water and a cloth or sponge are needed. If some areas require extra cleaning, a mild scouring pad can be used. Please refer to our Pan Seasoning Guide for further information on properly cleaning and seasoning cast iron surfaces.

crepe best season crepes business butter clean French grill maker

I use this brand since 6 years and I have 10 of them, the best quality, more expensive I know but worth every penny, believe me

So there's plenty of reviews on this site from business owners, but here's one from the grunt working on the thing day in and day out. I season this thing for literally every crepe i make, none of that spray nonsense, real salted butter. Using a flexible metal spatula and then wiping off the excess and making sure to completely cover the surface. Any time I don't, it's guaranteed to stick. Go to flip it and the thing tears in half. Of course, my recipe has no butter in it so that could make a difference. Make sure you teach your staff how to care for it; one eager new guy and you're out a few hundred bucks when he scrapes your crepe grill clean. Heating wise i have no complaints, no hotspots on mine and it's running all day everyday like a workhorse. Find the right temperature and then never touch it again, separate on and off switch from temperature control means no annoying testing in the morning and a few accidental crispy crepes.

This is the best Crepe maker I've ever used. It's highly powerful very consistent. Remember you must season the grill before using, and you may have to season it occasionally (weekly, depending on it's usage). It comes with a straight (instead of round) crepe spreader, which is NOT easy to use. It's worth investing in the round spreader.

Nothing but the best! This is what the French use, so why would you use anything else in your business? Works perfectly. You have to follow the seasoning instructions to make sure you get them to work perfectly. Great crepe cooker. I have 10 in 2 restaurants and should know. Singles are easier to clean that the double set.
