The WEBstaurantstore’s Patty Press has been getting a great deal of attention lately. With that attention has come a lot of new questions, one of the first questions of course is how does this thing work. Well, I’ll show you right here. The first thing you’ll do is take the patty paper with holes which you can find in your companion items and you’re going to slide that down over the posts of the machine. This will hold up to 100 pieces of patty paper. Then, you take your pre-proportioned meat and I pre-proportion it with this green disher. This is great because this actually matches up exactly with the smaller patty press right here. You can use a grey disher for the larger press that comes with the machine and that’ll match up perfectly to make your quarter-pounders. What I’ll do is I will go ahead and put the piece of plastic over on top right there and you can see we have a perfect patty right there. The other question we get a lot is; well, why do this then hand roll my patties? As you can see this is much faster than hand rolling but the other thing is consistency; every single patty comes out an even thickness and that makes sure that they cook evenly on the grill. That makes it so much easier on your line cooks to make perfect burgers every time and your customers, well, they just expect consistency. Well, there you have it. Details

The PM-1 manual hamburger press / patty molding machine forms and ejects a wax-sheeted patty in one operation. The body of the PM-1 is made of polished, die-cast aluminum. The PM-1 holds up to 100 sheets of wax paper, and the mold and knock-out discs are interchangeable. The PM-1 is capable of molding 4 to 5, 5 1/4" patties per pound of meat, and the machine measures 12 1/4" x 7 3/4" x 5 1/2".

Two molds are included with the PM-1 patty machine. The small mold will hold up to 2.7 oz. of meat. The large mold will hold up to 4 oz. of meat. It also comes with one plastic liner.     It's a Clunker! A great idea, but the execution is very amateurish. The patties come out jagged at the edges even though I used the recommenced disher. There is no adjustment for patty thickness, and they come out like something you would get at McDollar Day (thin, and not what you'd get at a gourmet burger place). Furthermore, I had to deform the rod that holds the liners just to get the thing to eject. The video I watched showed the machine jumping off the table when this also happened in the demo. And to top it all off, even the box is poorly designed. The press doesn't fit inside it without damaging the corrugated on both ends! If they could fix these flaws i would be happy to use it. For now, I'm stuck with webstaurant's item #: 407ahm485. Using the white disher they stock to measure out the meat turns out a respectable patty (with adjustable thickness).

    Thank you for reviewing this product! We recommend viewing the how-to video on this page to learn the best way to work with this machine. Also, the included small mold and large mold should allow you to regulate the weight of the patties. The box is a snug fit for the machine in order to prevent jostling around during shipment.

    Hooray for this hamburger press! It is very heavy duty cast-iron, so it stays put when you are using it. Easy to use, helps make patties much more quickly than by hand (but I quickly round the edges of each as they exit the machine, just to make them more uniform). Cool mechanism that moves them off the press onto individual patty paper. Please note that you need the patty paper with the holes in it for this item.

    The Hambuger Press / Patty Molding machine. It is great for making those perfect patties. They come out the same every time. You can even press out patties ahead of time and freeze.

    Beats hand patting for sure! Simple but effective design is easy to use and easy to clean up. Use with correct sized disher keeps portion controls in effect.

    Awesome piece of equipment,especially for the price! Perfect for anyone that wants to make uniform patties quickly. I was able to do 10 lbs of hamburger in about 20 minutes!

    I love my patty molding machine. I just made 46 quarter pound perfectly uniform patties in less than 10 minutes and that's including putting the seasonings in the meat. It's incredibly easy to set up, simple to use, and cleans up quickly. It's also a huge money saver if you have a large family. Don't buy pre-made patties. Make your own and know what you're feeding your family!

    it came with two molds top. every easier to work with small portion less than 5 oz meat. The WEBstaurantStore has the best price over all other. I like it, and I wish it could have a deeper top for bigger size of the burger.

    Hamburger Press Machine

    Item works just as well as the thousand dollar automatic units out there. Hamburger comes off automatically and stacks one on top of the other. very nice
