When you want fresh, homemade taste, Furmano's ground peeled tomatoes in puree deliver thanks to their beautiful red color and delicious Italian taste. Fresh, whole peeled tomatoes are chopped and crushed into a concentrated, delicious mix flavored with just the right amount of basil, making it a great addition to all sorts of dishes. Larger, peeled tomato pieces are added to the smooth tomato puree consistency to give this product its varied texture.
Furmano's tomatoes are picked at the peak of ripeness for the best possible flavor. Because the tomatoes are grown in fertile farmland near Furmano's headquarters in Pennsylvania, they are able to be picked and processed within hours to lock in freshness, flavor, and beautifully-bright red color. Every Furmano's product is naturally gluten free and made with sea salt that is lower in sodium than traditional table salt. Free from unwanted additives, they're also a great source of Lycopene, an antioxidant found in cooked tomatoes.
Sure, you could puree tomatoes by hand or in a food processor, but because Furmano's picks their tomatoes when they are fully red and ripe, you're actually getting more of a genuine tomato taste than you would from under-ripe supermarket tomatoes! Delicious on pasta dishes, these ground peeled tomatoes in puree are also a great base for making your own pizza sauce and dips, and are also a great addition to many poultry and meat dishes!

Furmano's Ground Peeled Tomatoes in Puree - #10 Can. I used these in my special homemade mixed bean chili and was quite impressed. They weren't watery at all but had a tomato sauce weight with little chunks that gave my dish good body.
