Food safety is the name of the game in the foodservice industry and whether you are checking a delivery of frozen sirloin steaks, or cooking and holding a pork roast, food-safe temperatures must be maintained. Cooper-Atkins has developed the KwikSwitch thermocouple kit to assist you with your food safety program. This Cooper-Atkins 94100 KwikSwitch folding thermocouple combo pack is a must-have for any HACCP plan. It includes Cooper-Atkins's 53337-K DuraNeedle Direct Connect K-type probe for immediate use. It's capable of measuring a temperature range of -40 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit and features a +/- 1 degree accuracy. In addition, it offers a 1 second response time in liquids, ensuring that you receive both precise and quick readings. The KwikSwitch thermocouple is more accurate than standard thermometers, making it compatible with induction cooking equipment. A screw-in flanged connection is built in.

This probe is designed to swing out from the instrument for use and fold back in for storage. Not only does this create a more ergonomic system, but it helps protect the probe and reduce storage space. By swinging the probe out of its slot, the operator easily powers on the instrument for immediate use. Ideal for use with liquids, thin, or fragile foods, this probe features a 3 3/4" stainless steel shaft with a 1.7mm tip diameter, which won't damage delicate food products.

This unit has a temperature range of -40 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit, and with an accuracy within + / - 0.5 degrees of the temperature reading and a 0.1 degree resolution, it will give you a precise reading on everything from frozen fish filets, to raw hamburger meat, to a pot of chicken noodle soup. After 10 minutes of non-use, the automatic shut-off feature is enabled to conserve battery power. The instrument's ABS housing is ergonomically shaped to fit comfortably in the user's hand and features a large, easy-to-read LCD display. This display boasts a backlight for reading in low-light areas. Additionally, this thermocouple is IPX7 waterproof rated, meaning that it is protected against heavy splashing and short durations of water immersion for less than 30 minutes and at a depth of less than 1 meter.

Powered by 2 AAA 1.5V alkaline batteries, this instrument features up to 1000 hours of battery life. For continued use, the batteries are easily replaced. A low battery indicator alerts the operator when a new set of batteries is needed. Although the 53337-K is a direct replacement, this unit works with any type-k probe.
