Ice retention relies on a variety of variables, including ice quality, type of ice (cubed, crushed, dry, blocked), ice quantity, environment, sunlight exposure, and much more. Due to the diversity of external factors and the lack of industry standards for ice retention measurement, precise timeline claims are difficult to accurately predict. Often these ice retention claims (X number of days) are generated from simulated environments and are not practical in the real world. To maximize your ice retention, minimize exposure to direct sunlight and other impacting variables.

My cooler leaks from the lid when it’s turned on its side or flipped upside down. Does this mean it’s not sealing?

No. These coolers are designed to remain right side up. The weight of the lid, the gasket, and locking the latches creates the seal. Once tipped, this weakens the seal of the lid gasket and can cause water to seep out.
