Even if you're short on space, take advantage of food-safe blast chilling with the Beverage-Air BF054AP 33 7/16" countertop blast chiller / freezer. It's designed for countertop use to fit in operations without the room for a standard unit, but that still want the convenience that blast chilling has to offer. This particular unit delivers excellent versatility in its small footprint, providing both a soft chill option for delicate food and a hard chill option for dense food. Blast chilling or shock freezing can also be accomplished by setting a timer or by using the included core probe.

This blast chiller fits up to 5 full size sheet pans on 2 1/2" centers and is equipped with adjustable stainless steel feet to keep it level. After loading product and prior to cooling, use the pre-cooling cycle to begin lowering the temperature for increased efficiency. Then, use the on-board recipe book with 68 pre-set programs, or add custom programs with the 99 free memory positions. In just 90 minutes, it safely chills up to 45 lb. of food or freezes 30 lb. of food in 240 minutes to prepare it for storage. At the end of each cycle, the unit automatically goes into conservation mode, holding product at food-safe temperatures until staff remove it. If using the unit continuously, use the infinity mode with adjustable set point to keep things moving. Plus, with a USB data recorder and interface and RS 484 connection, the unit allows you to transfer custom programs from chiller to chiller, which is great for multi-site operations that implement standard procedures.

Temperatures, times, and settings are shown on a brightly lit LCD temperature display for easy viewing. There, the high-precision heated multi-sensor probe is paired with its own temperature display button, as is the core probe with automatic recognition. A built-in HACCP alarm also helps keep your facility in compliance with food safety guidelines, ushering product through the temperature danger zone quickly to prevent bacteria growth.

For reliable efficiency, the unit's 1 1/2 hp refrigeration system circulates R-404A refrigerant and is built with a hermetically sealed compressor with overload protection. It also uses indirect air flow and an adjustable speed evaporator fan to improve performance. A timed manual defrost feature ensures hassle-free maintenance. This blast chiller / freezer requires a 208-240V electrical connection for operation.
