Overall User Rating: 8 Qt. Stainless Steel Footed Colander ( 4.7 stars from 25 reviews )

I just used this to wash and drain 10 lbs of potatoes for making latkes. It is very useful especially for large amounts of things to be washed and drained. I am very happy that it is somewhat heavy and sturdy in order to handle the weight of larger amounts.

Very happy with this colander. The size is good for larger batches and excellent for home canning preparations, the foot makes it very stable in the sink or on the counter, the handles stay cool when filled with hot food and the finish encourages me to hang it on the wall for storage and decor. Rugged without being heavy. Highly recommend.

Not the best made colander, but it sure is convenient and at an especially good price point so that you can have several on hand as needed to get the food prep tasks completed.

Overall I'm happy with this 8qt footed colander. It fits in the kitchen sink to allow it to drain and it fits in the dishwasher without interfering with the spinny water things. I would like a couple extra holes near where the flat part of the bowl starts to curve up because the bowl can sometimes stay wet near the bottom while draining. If you're preping into pans with a drain pan then this isn't even an issue.

Just large enough to rest on the edge of my divided residential kitchen sink. Personally, the size of the holes is just right. If they were larger, it would drain faster than the sink. The way this one works is perfect. I can drain something and walk away without fear of a back up Into the bottom of the colander.

I always use this colander for straining vegetables in my salad. The colander is rather large, and can hold quite a lot of loose lettuce with ease. It is not only light-weight but offers an aesthetically pleasing mirror-finish that never seems to dull!

The 8 qt. stainless steel footed colander is huge! The price was reasonable and the quality is good. The only thing I noticed was the base seemed a little loose while I was unpacking the product. Overall though I think it was a good buy.

Easy to clean. Light and durable. I use it to wash and drain fruits and vegetables. I also used it to strain cooked rice. The handles and size makes it easy to place over the sink.

These are good utilitarian colanders, they were a bit shallower and wider than I expected but I still love having a lot, especially good for washing greens.

I love these colanders! In order to save money we bought plastic ones and found ourselves replacing them only months later. These seem to hold up well and have a great capacity for our use.

The thing I like the best about this colander is that it fits across my kitchen sink perfectly! However, I do agree with another reviewer that it could have more holes in the bottom of it for better draining.

Bought three different sizes and each are very serviceable in the kitchen. I use them daily as we are pasta eaters, etc. Remember to clean after each use to preserve finish. Patricia, Front Royal, VA

The 8qt colander is a great addition to any kitchen. The colander has a good finish on it and the handles are also handy making it easy to move with a full load.

This size is big enough for most commercial kitchen jobs, and about the largest you'd ever need in the home kitchen. It looks great, and it's sturdy, but not too heavy. I'd give it five stars if it just had a few more holes--it drains a little slowly.
