This is a really nice stainless steel strainer. I like that it has a base, so that I feel as if my food isn't touching the bottom of the sink.

Great size for small or large draining items. It is super strong and easy to hold with the two handles. It fits great inside my lazy Susan too.

This is greT for washing fruits and vegetables, and also for straining pasta. Great price for a stainless steel construction. Happy to have found this

A nice large colander that has many different uses. It has held up very well after continual use, and hasn't discolored or warped in the dishwasher yet

We use this everyday in our kitchen. It does exactly what you want it to do. Has held up very well with usage everyday. If we need more we will be buying some more.

This does what a colander should. Holes are small enough that nothing escapes, but large enough that I'm not left with watery noodles. The whole thing feels very durable for the price I paid.

Excellent colander. Excellent price. Stainless steel is so much better because you don't need to worry about anything being too hot and melting plastic. Drains well. Works perfectly.

This is a great colander. It feels very well built and is holding up nicely to a variety of tasks. I have had no problems with rusting. Very pleased.

I am very happy with this colander. It is not too heavy, nor is it too light weight and flimsy, but just right for us!

This is a decent colander , with a couple drawbacks. The bottom is just about dead flat, so even though there are holes water pools up around the bottom. Also, the holes are rather small, so washing veggies or draining pasta can take a moment. But this fits in my sink perfectly and gets tons of use.

A heavy metal stainless steel colander that works like attended. Able to put hot item though the colander and the handles don't get hot so you are able to strain strain away,

This colander has taken a beating and has held up extremely well. it's the perfect size for washing our roma tomatoes. It washes great in the dishwasher too!

This colander has worked well, using only a couple times a week for the past 8 months. Today, one of the handles fell off which makes the product impossible to use. It does, however, clean well and has been effective for the past 8 months, it's possible I just got a bad example out of the lot.

This is a very useful colander for a variety of tasks. Colanders of this size typically have very large holes which limits their use. This colander features holes that are small enough to strain smaller pastas and delicate berries while letting water flow out quickly and easily without pooling. It also can double as a steamer basket for a large stockpot.

I use this footed colander to wash and drain rice, and sometimes even as a fruit bowl for my bananas and apples that are always around the house. I like the chrome-like look to it, and the fact that it is well made.

Very happy with this colander. The size is good for smaller batches, the foot makes it very stable in the sink or on the counter, the handles stay cool when filled with hot food and the finish encourages me to hang it on the wall for storage and decor. Rugged without being heavy. Highly recommend.

This is a super item that we use daily and it has held up through the test of time and has no rust marks even after leaving in water for couple hours.

This colander is quite lightweight with large handles that make it easy to strain most things. As mentioned in another review however, the colander doesn't always drain completely. There are two reasons for this: 1: The holes are a little too small and so they will sometimes get blocked by bubbles or simply the surface tension of the water. 2: The base is just a touch raised and so a small band of water remains around the inside edges. However, the amount of water that I had remaining was small enough to where it didn't affect me at all. I was quite happy with this purchase especially at this price point.

A very nice well built colander. I love the foot as I don't have to worry so much about water contaminating my food from slow drainage. It hangs up nice which make it easily accessible.

The 5 quart stainless steel footed colander is a good size for home use. The price is an excellent buy compared to most kitchen shops.

This colander is a great size for draining a lot of pasta at once and is of good quality for the price. My only issue with it is that it never seems like all the water or liquid in the bottom of the colander drains out and have to swirl it around over the sink to try to get the rest out. I have used this colander in larger sizes when cooking at work and they seem to drain much better than this little guy.

Perfect size to help drain different things. Fits perfect in the sinks. Easy to handle, store and wash. Perfect item for the cost. highly recommend

The material of this colander is of very good quality. I've used it heavily for about a month now and it still looks amazing. The feet of the colander is also very nice and works well to prevent skidding.

nice quality colander,it's also clean easily. the size is not really huge. good for cooking small portion. Purchased the larger colander as well. strongly recommend to others.

Good quality colander, cleans easily. This is a better price than home goods stores in area. Purchased the larger colander as well. Would recommend to others.

Nice size stainless steel colander for small kitchen tasks. Its great to be able to pour hot items in over a larger kitchen bowl to strain and cool down. So much better and more sanitary than the plastic counter type products. It fits great in the dish washer and comes out shiney every time.

This is a nice Colander--it balances well, and it made of high quality steel that should hold up to heavy use and dishwashers. At times cleaning the bottom can take a bit of effort, but this is the nature of footed colanders in general, not this product in particular. I use the Chinese style purcahsed from this site more often because of the relative ease of cleaning.
William C. Posted on 05/13/2011
The best colander I have ever used. The handles are great and the bottom base is a wonderful feature. This cleans well too, and the slots are the perfect size for pasta.

I bought various sizes and I like them all. The only caveat is to be aware that these colanders can rust so do wash them out immediately after each use. Patricia, Front Royal, VA

I'd much rather use a stainless colander for straining hot pasta. This is sturdy and easy to clean and also looks nice with all my other stainless cookware.
