Protect your equipment from hard water with this 3M CFSM1254 water softener system! Over time hard water can cause harmful mineral scale deposits in your water-using equipment, coating heating elements and water storage tanks to the point that they reduce efficiency or stop working completely. A good water softening system is your first line of defense against this issue - this model reduces water hardness with a high-capacity ion exchange resin inside a semi-transparent, wound fiberglass resin tank, which features a blow-molded polyethylene inner shelf and a distributor system that scrubs the resin clean during regeneration. A digital control valve on top of the tank gives you access to a full range of customization, tracking, and diagnostic options, to fine-tune system operation to your exact needs.

The brine tank is made from high-density polyethylene and includes a safety valve to prevent messy overflow of salt brine, and an air check assembly. The system holds up to 135 lb. of salt and works with most types of water softener salt, while a smart design prevents the bridging and mushing that can cause inadequate regeneration in other systems. It is rated for a flow rate of 9 GPM, and boasts a capacity of 56,800 grains of hardness. It has a 1" NPT fitting and operates on a 110-12V connection. A transformer is included. It has a resin capacity of 2.5 cu. ft.
