- How can I properly care for this aluminum item?
- Hand washing is always the best option to ensure that your aluminum stays in best working order. - What's the difference between a riveted and a welded handle?
- A riveted handle is connected by small metal pieces (called rivets) that are crushed between the handle and the pan body to attach them together. This type of handle is more common on copper and aluminum cookware.
For a handle to be welded, the metal must first be melted and then adhered to the pan body. This creates a strong bond that leaves little to no space in between, so bacteria and other food crumbs can’t collect and cause sanitation issues. Both are long lasting solutions for fry and sauce pan handles because they are durable and can withstand heat.
This 24 qt. standard weight brazier is made of 8 gauge 3003 aluminum. It's great for browning meat and vegetables, as well as simmering over low heat with small amounts of liquid. This 24 qt. brazier features sturdy, riveted side-loop handles for a secure grip, and since they're riveted on, they ensure a very rigid connection between handle and vessel, guaranteeing longevity even in a commercial kitchen.

This is a good sturdy braising pot. We use it for browning ground beef and cooking rice on the gas stove top. It is easy to wash in the sink, too.

The most that I like about this brazier is that it's very light comparing to the stainless steel ones. I did end up going with the heavy duty Aluminum Brazier, but generally this would be a good product for a catering company.

I tried to use this pan on a flat surface stove and it didn't work well at all because it was so concave. I then tried to use it over a gas range and it worked better but is still way more concave than I was expecting. I wouldn't get another one because I needed it for a flat cooking surface and wasn't planning on being able to only use it over gas. Even still you can see from the photo, if you don't plan on filling this with a ton of oil the middle will burn food etc... when its over gas. if it had been flatter I would have given more stars.

I love this brazier. We have used for everything from Shepherds pie filling on the stove top to slow braising lamb shanks in the oven, heats evenly and browns the meat very well with a huge surface area to work with. We will no doubt be ordering more when look to expand.

This is a great pan for making batches of risotto for banquet events! It works nicely for browning bones for stocks and even for searing then roasting large cuts of meat!!
