This basic but functional 2" pastry / basting brush with concave head and hook can be used for coating fluffy fresh baked pastries with butter, egg wash, or water. The unique and innovative concave brush head design allows the brush to sit on the counter without its bristles touching the surface, which prevents cross contamination. The heavy duty hook molded into the brush head hangs on the lip of crocks or other containers to keep the brush clean and cool and prevent contamination. The hook also prevents bristle burn, melt, or distortion from resting against hot pan bottoms. This pastry brush with concave head and hook has a 2" brush width and a 6" handle with an oval loop at the end of its handle for easy storage.

Great 2 inch pastry brush for brushing egg yolk on top of home made rolls or brushing sauce over any home cooked meat like ribs. Does what it's supposed to. Good price.

Excellent brush! It is very well made and strong. The bristles stay put and are just the right firmness for spreading oils and sauces. They also hank or hook nicely.

For those who prefer the ease of a synthetic brush this one is a good choice. It's soft enough for egg wash on delicate dough and strong enough for melted glazes on pastry. Easy to hold and doesn't seem to loose bristles.

Good synthetic bristle pastry brush. I used it to help clean up cakes with fondant covering. brushes away loose fondant with no issues. Over all good product.
