stone knives sharpening great knife kitchen price sharp side longer

This is a super rough stone. I would not subject any of my blades to this, maybe my lawnmower. Skip this stone go for something better unless you're chopping wood.

Well, one of these arrived broken, but they did replace it no problem. Honestly, it is just a little too bulky to be convenient for me and I might not have the skills to use it correctly. it is a great price, so if you have the skills and storage space it would probably be a good buy.

Thanks for the review, Brenna! We were happy to help in making sure you received a replacement for the one that arrived broken. We hope the sharpening stone works well for you in the future!

These stones keep your knives sharp. With a steel and a stone, you can keep your knives going for a long time. The stones wear out so a good price is a plus!

A good basic sharpening stone. 120/240 grit which is rather low but this stone will do a good job getting your knives back into basic condition. A higher grit 1000+ stone can do the final steps better but would take much longer to get the blade to the sharp.

For the price, you get a quality stone. Hard to beat. Gotta learn to use it and be sure to soak it before use. Brings life to old knives. Good on double amd single edge knives.

Good heavy sharping stone, the only thing that would of made this a outstanding buy would be a sample oil to come with it. I will have to buy new oil.

Great for larger knives such as scimitars, 12" and longer chef knives, slicing knives, etc. where you have a longer blade that needs more stone contact than a regular size one can give. Different grits on each side. Produces great edge.

great sharpening stone. although it didnt come with instructions so i dont know which side to work first. i figure start with the darker side and finish with the lighter side. Leaves my knives very sharp. I sharpen my knives once a week.

A good cheap sharpening stone to have to keep all you knifes sharp. The item did come in with some chips on the corners but since it is such a big stone not a big deal, but it was tech broken and don't know how long it will last since it is already chipping.

My sharpest kitchen knife can now slice through bone with little effort after using this awesome stone Love it for home and work all my co worker love it to it the best.

This stone does a great job of putting a sharp edge on my knives. I even trust it for my expensive german knives. The price is actually misleading, because the value far exceeds the sticker price. My only gripe is that the two sides aren't labeled - but that's just a matter of feeling them.

This is definitely a great sharpening stone. I wanted the longer size for dealing with knives greater than 12' in length. Having the two sides at different grits makes it easy to transform older dull knives into something that cuts like it was brand new again. I need to get a smaller size one for my tackle box!

As a culinary student I use my knives everyday and cut a lot of dense items, which means a lot of wear on my knives. This stone i used once and it keep my knives as sharp as they were when they first came out of the box, the stone is also very large and should last me a while.

EXTREMELY coarse, with a nice large size. Great stone for first-step sharpening on any seriously abused knives, it quickly blasts out chips and also works if you plan on changing a blade's grind profile. Also a good stone for lawnmowers, axes, and other heavy-duty jobs.

This is a large, solid, heavy sharpening stone, it was larger than I was expecting. It's got different grits on each side and looks like it'll last forever.

My sharpest kitchen knife can now slice through bone with little effort after using this awesome stone. Soaking it in water was part of the trick.

the stone is big but sharpens knife fast and good. shipping itself is not as bad as other places where one may checked out. I know I have many years of enjoying this tool for use in my kitchen. this tool lasts for generations.

I used this 12" sharpening stone recently on my 8" chef's knife and it worked like a charm. It's important to make sure the stone is well soaked before you start sharpening and to make sure the stone stays wet and lubricated during sharpening. I don't like how the grit isn't labeled on the stone but it's fairly obvious which side is finer. This gets the job done and was affordable.

This is a great valued product for the price. I used it with the Norton Mineral Oil. I would definitely buy again, if i had the need.

It's a good sharpening stone and is easy to use once you learn how to use it. It's at an affordable price. Only con is it does crack, but it is a minor issue.

from Asian Homestyle Cooking Posted on

Thank you for your review! This sharpening stone is a great value. Make sure to only wet the surface of the stone as fully submersing the stone in water can cause cracking. Please feel free to contact a Customer Solutions Representative if you have an questions or concerns about a purchase.

The 12" Sharpening Stone is great. It is super affordable and gets the job done. It does become uneven quickly, but it is affordable enough to deal with having to maintain the stone a little bit.
