Atop the skate, there is a rubber surface to increase grip quality.

There is an included handle that helps with carrying and positioning cargo. The dolly width is fixed, and the wheels are rigid. Avoid marking up floors as well with the included nylon wheels. This unit is designed to be moved in straight lines.
