Equip your air distribution system with this Thermaflex M-KE air duct! This flexible unit is designed for use in medium-pressure cooling and heating HVAC systems. It is great for resolving misalignment between system components and for ducts installed around obstacles, making it a simple, cost-effective alternative to fabricated and fitted ducts. It can be used in supply or return sections such as for branch ducts and duct connections or for use in between mixing units, diffusion devices, induction units, and control or terminal units. It is also ideal for making system extensions and changing conditioned zones in new or retrofit applications.

This efficient unit is composed of a liner and a metallized vapor barrier to provide a double air seal. The inner core is made with a resilient calendered film liner encapsulating a heavy, corrosion-resistant spring steel wire helix. This core is acoustically rated for quiet performance, and it will not unravel when cut. It also resists mold and mildew growth. It stretches over fittings for a snug fit, and it will not blow out.

This flexible duct is fully lined with a thick blanket of fiberglass insulation for efficient air delivery. The bi-directional outer vapor barrier is made of fiberglass reinforced metallized film laminate and is resistant to tearing. Thanks to the large diameter of the heavy wire helix, this unit offers dimensional stability, resists mechanical abuse, and resists shrinking up for highly efficient air delivery and less waste.

This unit is designed for quick and easy installation. It boasts an impressive R-6 thermal application value to prevent heat from entering or escaping your ducts, and it has an internal operating temperature range of -20 to 250 degrees Fahrenheit. For safe use, all components are self-extinguishing and will not support a flame. It meets UL 181 and CUL S110 requirements and NFPA 90A and 90B standards.
