No, this food warmer is designed only to maintain the temperature of food that has been pre-heated to a safe temperature.

What is a rethermalizer?

Unlike a food warmer, which keeps hot foods hot, a rethermalizer is a piece of commercial cooking equipment designed to heat precooked frozen foods to a food safe temperature in as little time as possible. Unless stated otherwise, this item is not meant to be used as a rethermalizer.

What pan sizes are compatible with this unit?

Pans that make contact with two parallel sides of the warmer are compatible. Full size, 1/2 size, and 1/3 size pans can be used with the warmer out of the box. 1/4 and 1/6 size pans are not compatible without the use of an adapter bar (sold separately).
