An AED (automated external defibrillator) like this device allows trained emergency responders to deliver potentially life-saving treatment until the patient can reach a hospital. Designed to keep operation as simple as possible, this AED helps guide you through each step of a rescue and comes with smart design features to save time when setting up.

Includes Adult Electrode Pads
It comes with a pair of adult electrode pads with clear illustrations that tell you where to place them on the patient's chest. The pads are stored pre-connected to the AED to let you respond faster and are intended for adult use only, but you can use a pediatric electrode pad cartridge (sold separately) to allow this unit to treat patients under 8 years old or under 55 lb.
Semi-Automatic Design
The AED starts up quickly when you pull the handle and remove the cover on the front of the unit, or it can be started with the highly visible on/off button. Once the pads are placed on the patient's body, this semi-automatic AED will prompt you to deliver the shock at the appropriate time using a simple button. During the rescue, text, voice and visual instructions on the color LCD screen will help you administer treatment confidently until help arrives, and if you need help during the CPR phase you can activate assistance with a simple button. This prompts the AED to tell you where to place your hands for compressions and provides a metronome to follow, ensuring the correct compression rate for optimal chance of rescue success.
Rescue Data Storage
Rescue data about the last use is stored in the device's internal memory, and can be transferred to a computer using the Philips HeartStart Event Review data management software
Daily Self-Checks
To keep your AED ready to use at all times, this unit proactively completes a daily self-check so that you can be alerted of potential issues promptly and fix them. It also performs a check whenever a battery is installed.
Quick Response Time
This AED is ready to deliver a shock to the patient in less than 10 seconds, saving precious time during the rescue and ensuring that the patient gets a shock as quickly as possible, should one be advised.
Accessories Included
The AED comes with an 8-year warranty on the device, and a 4-year warranty on the battery. The electrode pads have a 2-year life, and the battery has a 4-year standby life. The AED has an ingress protection rating of 21. Additionally, this model is the only AED in the United States that does not require a prescription for purchase.
