Need to restore your Lodge cast iron product? With these 5 easy steps, your cast iron will be looking good as new! Simply scrub, wash, dry, oil, and bake. First, scrub the cast iron until all residue is off. Then wash with water, using soap only if desired. Then completely dry it. Next, use a small amount of cooking oil to coat all surfaces. Finally, place a piece of aluminum foil on the bottom rack of your oven to catch any drippings. Place your product on the first rack. Close the oven and preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and let it bake for one hour. Let it cool in the oven. Lodge cast iron – iron is forever. Scrub, wash, dry, oil, bake.

A lively addition to any cook's collection, this Lodge ECSGP33 10" square blue enameled cast iron grill pan combines the benefits of cast iron with the beauty of porcelain enamel. Creating cookware, like this, since 1896, Lodge has a rich history of an unparalleled dedication to quality, technology, and its employees. This piece in particular is perfect grilling steaks, chicken, salmon, or tuna - the ridges allow grease to drain away from the food while creating tantalizing grill marks. When used with a Lodge panini press (sold separately), you get even more versatility out of this pan, creating signature sandwiches without another gadget. The vibrant enamel surface is resistant to acidic and alkaline foods and can be used to marinate and refrigerate without reacting to the cookware. This grill pan is right at home on induction, ceramic, electric, and gas cooktops – even in your oven up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit.

Like traditional cast iron cookware, porcelain enameled cookware starts out being cast in the traditional method; however, after this process, a glass particulate called "frit" is applied and the cookware is baked in ovens between 1200 and 1400 degrees Fahrenheit to transform the frit into a smooth porcelain surface that is bonded to the iron. There is no exposed cast iron on the finished product – the black cooking surface and rims are matte porcelain.

Although dishwasher safe, hand washing with warm soapy water is recommended to preserve the cookware’s original appearance.

Do not use in the microwave, on outdoor grills, or over campfires. While the porcelain finish is hard, it can be chipped if banged or dropped. Interior protection must be used to prevent chipping if cookware is stacked. For added longevity, pre-heat and cool your cookware gradually.
